JD.com joins the Guangzhou "City Partner" program

The Guangzhou Municipal Government recently signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with JD Group-SW (09618.HK) (JD.US). JD Group will join Guangzhou's "City Partner" program to assist in the digital transformation of supply chains for industrial enterprises in Guangzhou, promote intelligent procurement solutions, and strengthen cooperation with Guangzhou in the data industry to jointly build an "Actual Number Integration" innovation demonstration platform.

According to the agreement, both parties will focus on industrial upgrading and the development of the digital economy, jointly promote the planning and construction of JD's innovative supply chain operation base in Guangzhou, and support JD Group in issuing public REITs for logistics and industrial infrastructure projects in Guangzhou.

Both sides will also jointly promote multiple cooperation projects, such as the demonstration application and technological iteration of unmanned delivery vehicles in Guangzhou, accelerating the development of related industrial clusters; collaboratively cultivating diversified business scenarios to jointly create a "Guangzhou Consumer Zone"; as well as supporting the construction of a vocational health management system and the layout of age-friendly industries, strengthening smart healthcare construction, and promoting the development of national sports and health initiatives
