Amazon CEO says AI will reduce employee numbers
Amazon (AMZN.US) CEO Andy Jassy stated on Tuesday that he expects the company's workforce to decline in the coming years as the company uses artificial intelligence to handle more tasks.
Jassy mentioned that in the coming years, as artificial intelligence is widely used across the company, efficiency will improve, which will also reduce the total number of employees. As of the end of March, Amazon had 1.56 million employees, making it the second-largest private employer in the United States
