Microsoft partners with AMD to create a multi-device ecosystem, next-generation Xbox console included in the collaboration map

Microsoft announced on Tuesday that it has reached a multi-year collaboration agreement with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), and the two parties will engage in deep technical cooperation for devices such as the tech giant's next-generation Xbox console. In a statement, Microsoft stated that this collaboration will cover "joint research and development of silicon chips across device combinations," with the next-generation Xbox console prominently included. Xbox President Sarah Bond also emphasized that the new generation Xbox platform will focus on multi-device interaction, no longer limited to a game ecosystem tied to its own store. "We are committed to building a gaming platform that is always with the user, allowing players to enjoy their favorite games on any device—creating an Xbox experience that is not bound by a single store or device," Bond stated in a one-minute YouTube video, adding that the new platform will maintain compatibility with the existing Xbox game library. However, she did not mention the release date for the next-generation console, only revealing that "the new generation Xbox is taking shape, this is just the beginning, and we can't wait to showcase our future plans."
