Disney collaborates with Shanghai Animation Film Studio to produce a short film
On June 19th, Disney China announced a special collaboration with Shanghai Animation Film Studio, using the story of "Zootopia" as a starting point. They will employ various traditional Chinese artistic animation techniques, such as puppetry, ink wash, 2D animation, and paper-cutting, to launch an animated short series titled "Zootopia: Day and Night in Zootopia." The shorts are expected to be released on major social and video platforms nationwide in November 2025. This collaboration also signifies further integration and development between international IP and the Chinese local animation industry
