Tech elite reshuffle: Amazon AWS generative AI head jumps ship
The competition for talent is becoming increasingly fierce, and Vasi Philomin, Vice President of Artificial Intelligence Development at AWS under Amazon (AMZN.US), is leaving for another company.
Foreign media quoted an email stating that he will be moving to another company, but did not disclose specific details. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed that Vasi Philomin left the company after working there for eight years.
He had helped lead generative artificial intelligence work and product strategy, and was responsible for managing the Amazon Titan foundational model
