CATHAY PAC AIR's subsidiary, Hong Kong Airlines, has completed its fleet update and is currently operating 14 A330F freighters
Cathay Pacific Group announced that its wholly-owned cargo airline, Hong Kong Air Cargo, has successfully completed its fleet renewal plan. The company recently received its last advanced A330F freighter, while the final A300-600F freighter has been retired, marking Hong Kong Air Cargo's full transformation into an Airbus A330F freighter operator.
Hong Kong Air Cargo first operated the A300-600F freighter in 2004 on behalf of its major client, DHL Express, and this model has served both parties for 21 years. The A300-600F fleet has cumulatively transported nearly 3 million tons of express cargo over the years. With the completion of the fleet renewal plan, Hong Kong Air Cargo currently operates 14 A330F freighters, consisting of 10 A330-300P2F and 4 A330-200F freighters. The A330-300P2F is a freighter converted from a passenger aircraft, and Hong Kong Air Cargo is one of the first and currently the largest operators of this model globally.
Cathay Pacific Group indicated that it has begun preparations for Cathay Pacific (00293.HK), Cathay Cargo, and Hong Kong Express fleets to add over 100 new generation aircraft in the coming years, including narrow-body passenger aircraft, regional wide-body passenger aircraft, long-haul wide-body passenger aircraft, and large freighters
