
The S&P rose 11% in the second quarter, marking the best single-quarter performance of 2023
In June, the S&P 500 index rose approximately 5%, the Dow Jones increased about 4.4%, and the Nasdaq gained around 6.7%.
In the first half of the year, the S&P rose about 5.6%, the Dow increased approximately 3.7%, and the Nasdaq gained around 5.6%.
On Monday, the S&P initially closed up 0.6%, the technology sector rose 1.1%, the financial sector increased 0.9%, and the energy sector fell 0.6%.
The Nasdaq 100 index initially closed up 0.7%, Grail rose 6.4%, "Bitcoin holder" Strategy (MSTR, formerly MicroStrategy) increased 4.9%, AppLovin, Palantir, and Trade Desk rose about 4%, Broadcom and Apple rose over 2% with strong performance, while Google A, Micron Technology, Diamondback Energy, Airbnb, Amazon, and Tesla fell by up to 1.7%, and Arm Holdings dropped 2.2%
