On July 4th, the 2025 Power Supply and Demand Analysis Report Results Release Conference, co-hosted by State Grid Energy Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the National Climate Center, was held in Beijing. The "China Power Supply and Demand Analysis Report" released by the Economic and Energy Supply and Demand Research Institute of State Grid Energy Research Institute predicts that the national electricity consumption will increase by 5% compared to the previous year in 2025. The impact of meteorological factors on electricity consumption is becoming increasingly prominent. It is expected that during the peak summer period this year, temperatures in most parts of the country will be higher than the same period in previous years, leading to a tighter balance between power supply and demand nationwide; during the peak winter period, the power supply and demand will be basically balanced
