Stellantis falls in pre-market as 1.2 million pickup trucks under its brand face recall investigation initiated by NHTSA

Due to concerns about issues with the brake transmission shift interlock system, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has initiated a recall investigation for approximately 1.2 million Ram pickups under Stellantis. The regulatory agency noted that affected vehicles may pose a risk of unintended movement, which could lead to the vehicle rolling away on its own. According to reports, through its early warning reporting system, NHTSA has received reports of 6 fatalities and injuries related to this issue, as well as 14 owner complaints.
