On July 21, the appointment qualifications of Wang Dajun, Vice President of Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), have been approved by the regulators.
As a member of the &#34;post-75&#34; generation, Wang Dajun has worked in the ABC system for many years, previously serving as the Deputy General Manager of the Financial Accounting Department at the headquarters, and as the Deputy General Manager of the Financial Accounting Department/Evaluation Center Office/&#34;Three Rural&#34; Accounting and Evaluation Center.
In 2017, Wang Dajun served as the President of the ABC Xiamen Branch, during which he promoted government-bank-enterprise cooperation and inclusive finance, establishing strategic partnerships with companies such as Henan Water Investment Group and Muyuan Foods.
In 2021, he became the President of the ABC Henan Branch, and two years later, he was transferred to the President of the Guangdong Branch.
In January of this year, Wang Dajun presided over the branch's 2025 Party building and operational work meeting as the head of the Guangdong Branch, proposing key tasks such as focusing on customer and risk control, adhering to primary responsibilities, enhancing service quality and efficiency, and deepening reform and innovation.
At the end of May, news emerged that Wang Dajun had been appointed as a member of the ABC Party Committee, at which time he appeared at a working meeting between the management of China Ordnance Equipment and Agricultural Bank of China.
With Wang Dajun's appointment qualifications finalized, ABC will return to a management structure of &#34;one president and five vice presidents&#34;; the inclusion of the first &#34;post-75&#34; member will also inject more fresh blood into the bank's management.
In recent years, senior executives of state-owned major banks have frequently changed, with &#34;post-75&#34; vice presidents entering the core management of both Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) and Postal Savings Bank.
At ABC, Vice President Xu Han requested to resign from his position due to age reasons in January of this year. The current management team includes President Wang Zhiheng and four vice presidents: Lin Li, Liu Hong, Wang Wenjin, and Meng Fanjun; among them, Wang Zhiheng, Wang Wenjin, and Meng Fanjun are all from the &#34;post-70&#34; generation.
In the future, Wang Dajun may oversee corporate and technology sectors, and the ABC official website has updated his resume.
