Bangladesh increases the number of Boeing aircraft purchases to 25
According to foreign media reports, Mahbubur Rahman, the Minister of Commerce of Bangladesh, stated that the country will increase its order of Boeing (BA.US) aircraft from 14 to 25 and accelerate the import of American goods to reduce its trade surplus with the United States.
The country is increasing imports of wheat, soybean oil, and cotton from the United States, with an agreement signed earlier this month involving the import of 700,000 tons of American wheat annually over the next five years.
Bangladesh faces a 35% tariff rate from the United States, which will impact the country's exports, especially in the garment industry. The United States has a trade deficit of $6 billion with Bangladesh
