Starbucks plans to set up self-service ordering machines at airports
Coffee chain Starbucks (SBUX.US) plans to add self-service ordering machines at busy locations in the United States.
According to recordings obtained from foreign media, Starbucks Chief Operating Officer Mike Grams stated in an internal meeting this week that the company is exploring ways to reduce wait times in high-traffic areas such as airports, with self-service terminals being one of the key options for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year.
Self-service ordering machines may be installed at some authorized locations and will be operated by third parties that have reached agreements with the company. (me/)
