The account opening process has also been significantly simplified, allowing customers to complete the procedures at the branch just once, with the fastest opening time for the Greater Bay Area Class II account being two working days.

Customers can transfer funds from their HSBC Hong Kong Renminbi account to the Greater Bay Area Class II account and link it to mainland third-party payment service electronic wallets for daily consumption and payments in the mainland
