EMPEROR E HOTEL announced that Ms. Li Jiafeng has resigned as an independent non-executive director after the annual general meeting of shareholders, ending nearly nine years of service. Ms. Chen Chanling has been elected as the new independent non-executive director and will replace Ms. Li in the remuneration committee, audit committee, and nomination committee
According to the announcement from Emperor Entertainment Hotel (00296), Ms. Li Jiafeng, who has served on the board for nearly nine years, has expressed her intention not to seek re-election. Therefore, she has stepped down as an independent non-executive director at the conclusion of the annual general meeting. Following her resignation, Ms. Li automatically ceased to serve as the chair of the remuneration committee and as a member of the audit committee and nomination committee under the board.
As the resolution to elect Ms. Chen Chanling as a director under item 2(C) has been formally passed at the annual general meeting, Ms. Chen has been appointed as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately after the conclusion of the annual general meeting, to fill the vacancy left by Ms. Li's resignation.
