HUAYUEXPRESSWAY issued a profit warning, expecting a mid-term loss attributable to shareholders of approximately RMB 22.2 million to RMB 24.5 million for the period ending June 30, 2025, with revenue expected to be around RMB 72 million to RMB 79.6 million, a year-on-year decline. In the same period of 2024, the profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 11.9 million, mainly due to a significant decrease in alcohol sales caused by the contraction of the Chinese consumer market
According to the announcement from Huayue Expressway (01823), the group expects to record revenue of approximately RMB 72 million to RMB 79.6 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025, compared to approximately RMB 129 million for the six months ending June 30, 2024. The group also expects to incur a loss of approximately RMB 24.1 million to RMB 26.6 million during this period, while recording a profit of approximately RMB 14 million for the six months ending June 30, 2024. In addition, the group anticipates a loss attributable to shareholders of approximately RMB 22.2 million to RMB 24.5 million during this period, compared to a profit attributable to shareholders of approximately RMB 11.9 million for the six months ending June 30, 2024. The decrease in revenue and the shift from profit to loss (including amounts attributable to shareholders) are primarily due to the continued contraction of the consumer market in the People's Republic of China, leading to a significant decline in alcohol sales
