MEILLEUREHEALTH announces positive earnings forecast, expecting mid-term profit attributable to shareholders to increase to approximately HKD 14 million to 16 million year-on-year

MEILLEUREHEALTH expects that the profit attributable to shareholders will increase to approximately HKD 14 million to 16 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025, a significant increase compared to HKD 8.2 million for the same period in 2024. The main reasons include growth in revenue and profit from property-related businesses, increased rental income, and rising interest income, despite a challenging domestic operating environment leading to a decrease in trade sales and revenue from health care products
According to the announcement from MEILLEUREHEALTH (02327), the group expects to achieve a profit attributable to shareholders of approximately HKD 14 million to HKD 16 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025, compared to a profit attributable to shareholders of approximately HKD 8.2 million for the six months ending June 30, 2024.
The main reasons for the expected increase are as follows: (i) Revenue and profit from property-related businesses have increased, mainly due to an increase in rental income for the six months ending June 30, 2025, and no significant changes in the fair value of the investment properties held by the group, whereas, for the six months ending June 30, 2024, there was a significant decline in the fair value of the investment properties held by the group; (ii) The group has benefited from effectively utilizing idle funds to provide short-term interest-bearing loans and long-term interest-bearing revolving financing to customers and related parties, resulting in increased interest income; however, the above factors are partially offset by the following adverse factors: the domestic operating environment remains challenging, leading to a decrease in trade sales and revenue from health and medical-related products
