HSBC's Head of Unsecured Loans and Card Business for Wealth Management and Personal Banking in Hong Kong, Zhou Canxian, indicated that in the first quarter of this year, the consumption and transaction figures of HSBC UnionPay dual-currency credit card customers in mainland China increased by more than double compared to the previous year.

The HSBC Pulse UnionPay dual-currency diamond credit card offers a series of benefits, allowing customers to earn up to 9.4% "reward cash" back on dining expenses in mainland China, along with enjoying zero transaction fees in RMB. Local transactions also earn up to 2.4% "reward cash" back.

Customers only need to bind their HSBC UnionPay dual-currency credit card to the Reward+ or UnionPay QuickPass app to make payments at over 30 million merchants in mainland China using UnionPay QR codes.

According to data from the Immigration Department, over 2.1 million people traveled north during this year's Easter holiday, and research from Chinese University indicates that, in addition to first-tier cities like Shenzhen and Guangzhou, Hong Kong residents' consumption destinations have expanded to farther regions, such as Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and even Chongqing and Changsha
