Court documents: Musk attempts to secure Zuckerberg's funding to acquire OpenAI

OpenAI stated in court documents that Musk attempted to persuade Mark Zuckerberg to participate in the acquisition of OpenAI this year, but Zuckerberg and Meta (META.US) did not sign a letter of intent and did not participate in Musk's proposed $97.4 billion acquisition offer.

There is now evidence that Musk tried to convince OpenAI's main competitor Meta to assist in the acquisition of OpenAI, which could potentially weaken Musk's accusations against OpenAI. Musk believes that OpenAI's collaboration with Microsoft (MSFT.US) is a betrayal of the non-profit mission established at OpenAI's inception.

OpenAI has requested the judge to order Meta to hand over any documents related to communications with Musk, but Meta urged the court to dismiss the request, stating that Meta's documents cannot prove any coordination with Musk nor can they prove that Meta attempted to acquire OpenAI
