On August 28th, DiDi announced that it agreed to pay $740 million to settle a class action lawsuit initiated by investors. DiDi stated that there was no wrongdoing and that the settlement was to avoid the costs and disruptions to business development caused by the litigation. The lawsuit originated from a class action filed by some investors against DiDi in July 2021, alleging that DiDi may have issued seriously misleading business information to investors. DiDi stated that the settlement is subject to many conditions, including court approval, and does not constitute an admission or acknowledgment that the claims made in the lawsuit have any legal basis
