
The internet stock index ETF rose nearly 1.5%, leading the U.S. stock sector ETFs
On Thursday (August 28), the internet stock index ETF rose by 1.59%, while the technology sector ETF, energy sector ETF, global airline industry ETF, and global technology stock index ETF increased by 0.79% to 0.57%. The semiconductor ETF rose by 0.41%, while the banking sector ETF fell by 0.38%, and the utility sector ETF decreased by 0.76%. Among the 11 sectors of the S&P 500 index, the telecommunications sector rose by 0.94%—with component stock Trade Desk leading with a 5.15% increase, Alphabet A performing third with a 2.01% rise (setting a new closing historical high after two trading days), Meta rising by 0.50% with the smallest increase, and Charter Communications closing down by 2.05%
