
General Administration of Customs: In the first 8 months, the proportion of electromechanical products in exports exceeded 60%, with significant growth in integrated circuits and automobile exports
According to data from the General Administration of Customs, in the first eight months of 2025, China exported 10.6 trillion yuan worth of electromechanical products, an increase of 9.2%, accounting for 60.2% of our total exports. Among them, automatic data processing equipment and its components amounted to 946.59 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6%; integrated circuits reached 905.18 billion yuan, an increase of 23.3%; and automobiles totaled 605.23 billion yuan, an increase of 11.9%. During the same period, exports of labor-intensive products were 2.75 trillion yuan, a decrease of 1.5%, accounting for 15.6% of our total exports. Among these, clothing and accessories were 738 billion yuan, a decrease of 0.7%; textiles were 678.75 billion yuan, an increase of 2.6%; and plastic products were 500.4 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6%.
