
Arm launches a new generation of mobile chip design, Lumex architecture boosts local AI in smartphones

Arm Holdings launched a new generation of mobile chip design architecture "Lumex" on Tuesday, optimized for artificial intelligence, supporting AI functionality in smartphones and wearable devices to operate offline. The Lumex series includes four types to meet different performance needs, aimed at achieving local deployment of AI capabilities. Chris Berge, Senior Vice President of Arm, stated that AI is becoming central to the mobile experience. This design belongs to Arm's computing subsystem business, aimed at helping mobile manufacturers quickly integrate new technologies.
