In the first seven months of this year, smartwatch sales in mainland China increased by nearly 60% year-on-year, with Huawei having the highest market share

According to a report by mainland analysis company RUNTO, in the first seven months of this year, the sales of adult smartwatches on traditional mainstream e-commerce platforms in mainland China reached 8.297 million units, a year-on-year increase of 58.1%. During this period, the top six brands by sales share were Huawei, Apple (AAPL.US), Xiaomi (01810.HK), vivo, Honor, and OPPO, all of which are smartphone manufacturers.

Among them, Huawei's smartwatch sales grew by 78.6% year-on-year, capturing a market share of 33.7%. Apple's sales increased by 5.6 percentage points, with a market share of 28.7%. Xiaomi ranked third, with sales growth of 2.5 percentage points to 12.8%.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year and the short-term future, RUNTO predicts that by 2025, the sales of adult smartwatches online through traditional e-commerce in mainland China will reach 15.5 million units, a year-on-year growth of 65%
