Citigroup CEO optimistic about M&A business prospects, says U.S. economy unlikely to recession
Citigroup's CEO stated that as U.S. companies gain confidence from clearer policy signals and the world's largest economy is less likely to enter a recession, merger and acquisition activity is rebounding. After clearer policies on taxes, tariffs, and deregulation, clients have become "much more active" in capital markets, investments, and trading activities, Jane Fraser said in an interview. She noted, "Our client base is really starting to take action with confidence now."
