WeChat: Continuously carry out the "Clear and Bright · Special Action to Rectify 'Self-Media' Publishing False Information"

In order to further regulate the information release behavior of "self-media" and continuously create a clear online space, the WeChat platform has launched a special action titled "Clear and Rectify 'Self-Media' Publishing False Information." The aim is to rectify the behavior of "self-media" publishing false information, focusing on combating four types of violations: maliciously misleading the public, distorting facts through various means, failing to label to confuse authenticity, and providing false information in professional fields. Since the launch of the special action, a total of 31,334 pieces of violating content have been dealt with, and 4,454 accounts have been processed. Depending on the violation circumstances and in accordance with the special requirements and platform rules, measures such as traffic restrictions, prohibiting new followers, suspending profit-making permissions, muting, and banning accounts have been implemented in a tiered manner
