On September 13th, Mastercard and UnionPay announced that they recently detected some unauthorized transactions within China. The company, together with the issuing banks, immediately initiated an emergency investigation and established a special task force to trace the source of the risks, block potential risks, and jointly promote the fund protection process for relevant cardholders to avoid losses that should not be borne by them. Mastercard and UnionPay remind all cardholders: regularly check transactions through the issuing bank's APP, SMS notifications, or billing statements (paying special attention to non-personal consumption and unusual small deductions), promptly enable real-time transaction alerts, keep offline card usage in sight, and protect card numbers and verification codes during online transactions; if unauthorized transactions are discovered, immediately call the issuing bank's customer service to verify the situation and freeze the account
