Saint Anna: Selling Korean food is not a transformation, expects to add 2 concept stores before the end of the year
CR ASIA (00831.HK) subsidiary Saint Anna Bakery recently launched Korean-style "two-dish rice." CR ASIA CEO Deng Zijian stated that Hong Kong residents are spending more in the north, leading to a decrease in daily retail demand. To respond to market changes, Saint Anna Bakery has introduced innovative products such as frozen sandwiches and hot meals. The concept store located in Prince Edward is the fifth-generation store, which first introduced Korean-style bento. The current response has been ideal, and they hope to drive the sales of pastries and bread through this initiative, with plans to add two more concept stores by the end of this year.
He emphasized that Saint Anna is not transforming but rather extending to more different types of products to enhance customer experience. Bread products remain the main focus, accounting for the majority of overall products, and they are committed to providing new models and new experiences in retail services.
Saint Anna Bakery Managing Director Chen Huang Minli explained that the introduction of Korean-style bento is not the common "two-dish rice" found in the market, but rather Korean cuisine launched in collaboration with a Korean food company, made fresh in-store and updated weekly. In terms of pricing, she believes it differs from the "two-dish rice" model of other eateries, so it cannot be compared
