XPeng Huitian responded to the Changchun incident: The two aircraft had insufficient flight distance and made contact, with personnel on site safe
It has been reported that two XPeng Heitech eVTOLs (electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles) collided and crashed at the Changchun Airshow site.
In response, XPeng Heitech stated that this afternoon, after the rehearsal of the Changchun Airshow, two aircraft participating in a dual aircraft formation exercise experienced contact due to insufficient flight spacing. One aircraft landed normally, while the other sustained damage and caught fire during landing. On-site personnel are safe, and relevant departments have orderly completed the on-site disposal work. The specific cause is under further investigation. (The Paper)
