
Yang Hongxin, Chairman of Honeycomb Energy: The cost of solid-state batteries is still 5-10 times that of liquid batteries
As the topic of solid-state batteries heats up, Honeycomb Energy continues to disclose its layout and progress in this technology route. According to the latest announcement from Honeycomb Energy, the company's Chairman and CEO Yang Hongxin revealed the current plan at the 21st China Automotive Industry Development (Teda) International Forum: by the end of 2025, the development of a 10Ah level, 400Wh/kg all-solid-state battery system will be completed; in 2026, the first generation of semi-solid-state mass production will ramp up, and the second generation of 400Wh/kg semi-solid-state batteries will be developed; in 2028, the third generation of 450Wh/kg semi-solid-state batteries will be launched, and it is planned to develop pure solid-state batteries with over 70Ah and 500Wh/kg in the same year
