On September 16th local time, Eli Lilly announced plans to build a $5 billion manufacturing facility in Goochland County, west of Richmond, Virginia. This new site will become the company's first fully integrated active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and drug manufacturing base dedicated to emerging bioconjugate platforms and monoclonal antibody product lines. The manufacturing facility is expected to be completed within the next five years. (Jiemian)
