Zoom releases AI Companion 3.0, fully upgrading its agent-based AI features
During its annual flagship event Zoomtopia 2025, Zoom (ZM.US) announced the launch of several brand new agent-based AI features for Zoom Workplace and Zoom Business Services. The highlight includes Zoom AI Companion 3.0, which brings an agent-based AI experience to Zoom Workplace.
Zoom AI Companion 3.0 features proactive agent capabilities that prepare meeting agendas and analyses for users; deep research and writing assistance can generate reports through conversations and integrated applications; the expanded AI note-taking feature will be applicable to Zoom meetings, in-person meetings, and third-party platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Google Meet.
Other offerings include new tools for Zoom Business Services, tailored Zoom solutions for various industries, and a Custom AI Companion add-on that allows IT teams to build and deploy custom AI agents.
Steve Rafferty, head of Zoom for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, stated that AI Companion 3.0 helps realize the definition of an agent-based AI collaborative partner, enabling employees to focus on important matters, better understand customer needs, and foster more meaningful interactions
