
In the first 8 months of this year, Shenzhen's import and export maintained steady growth, ranking first among mainland cities in foreign trade
On September 18th, according to statistics from Shenzhen Customs, in the first eight months of this year, Shenzhen's cumulative import and export scale maintained its position as the leading foreign trade city in mainland China, reaching 2.96 trillion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 0.3%. Among them, exports amounted to 1.79 trillion yuan; imports reached 1.17 trillion yuan, an increase of 9%. In the face of a severe and complex external environment, Shenzhen's foreign trade resilience continues to be demonstrated, and vitality is constantly being released. The "new content" of foreign trade is continuously improving. In the first eight months, Shenzhen exported 1.35 trillion yuan of electromechanical products, an increase of 4.6%. In the traditional electronic information sector, computers and their components, as well as audio and video equipment and parts, grew by 10.5% and 6.1%, respectively. In emerging industries, exports of lithium batteries, pure electric passenger vehicles, and 3D printers increased by 35.9%, 14.3%, and 10.7%, respectively, while exports of measuring and testing instruments and medical devices grew by 15.3% and 6.4%, respectively
