Microsoft Xbox game console prices will increase again starting in October
Microsoft (MSFT.US) announced on Friday that due to changes in the macroeconomic environment, it will raise the prices of its Xbox Series S and Series X consoles on October 3, but currently has no plans to adjust the prices of related accessories. Microsoft had already raised the prices of Xbox consoles in May of this year.
According to Microsoft's statement, the Series S model will increase by $20, selling for $400 and $450 respectively; the Series X will increase by $50, with the price adjusted to $600 and $650; and the Series X equipped with 2TB storage will increase by $70, with the adjusted price being $800.
Microsoft stated that it understands that price increases are not easy for players, but the decision was made after careful consideration. Looking ahead, Microsoft hopes to continue to provide more gaming options, allowing players to enjoy games on any screen, and to bring more value to Xbox players
