Vodafone (VOD) was basically flat in early trading. The company has awarded Ericsson (ERIC) and Nokia (NOK) a $2.7 billion network expansion contract for its VodafoneThree joint venture in the UK. This eight-year deal will enable Ericsson and Nokia to deploy wireless access network technology at 17,000 sites, significantly enhancing their presence in the mobile market
