
Intel collaborates with Trust Stamp to develop AI identity verification
Intel (INTC.US) announced an artificial intelligence briefing on Wednesday, detailing its collaboration with the technology company Trust Stamp (IDAI.US), which provides real-time identity verification solutions.
Trust Stamp utilizes artificial intelligence technology, allowing users to confirm their identity by taking a selfie on their mobile phone or computer. Biometric data is not stored but is converted into encrypted tokens. The company uses Intel's Xeon scalable processors and optimized quantized AI models using Intel's OpenVINO (open-source visual inference and neural network optimization tool).
Scott Francis, Chief Technology Officer of Trust Stamp, stated that the collaboration with Intel can provide the next generation of identity verification experiences.
After the news release, Intel's stock price rose 4%, trading at $30.52 per share. Trust Stamp's stock price increased by 22.9%, trading at $3.69
