The Digital Renminbi International Operation Center officially begins operations

The Digital Renminbi International Operation Center has officially commenced operations in Shanghai and launched three major business platforms - the Digital Renminbi Cross-Border Digital Payment Platform, the Digital Renminbi Blockchain Service Platform, and the Digital Asset Platform. According to reports, the Digital Renminbi Cross-Border Digital Payment Platform explores the use of legal digital currency to address pain points in traditional cross-border payments; the Digital Renminbi Blockchain Service Platform provides standardized cross-chain transaction information transfer and on-chain digital renminbi payment services for various scenarios and industry-specific blockchains; the Digital Asset Platform offers standardized, ready-to-use financial-grade digital asset services, supporting existing financial infrastructure to expand their business onto the blockchain. In June of this year, Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People's Bank of China, announced at the 2025 Lujiazui Forum that a Digital Renminbi International Operation Center would be established in Shanghai to promote the international operation of the digital renminbi and the development of financial market businesses, serving digital financial innovation
