Meituan Keeta launches in the UAE! Opening in 3 countries in 40 days, internationalization is advancing at full speed

At 11 a.m. local time on September 27, Meituan's international delivery brand Keeta officially launched operations in Dubai, UAE. This marks Keeta's third entry into the Middle Eastern delivery market within 40 days, following its launch in Qatar in August and Kuwait in September. The UAE has also become the fourth strategic foothold for Meituan's international business in the Gulf region. It is reported that preparations for Keeta's launch in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, are already underway. Dubai is the most populous city in the UAE and serves as the economic and financial hub of the Middle East. With a high penetration rate for delivery services, well-developed market infrastructure, and strong demand from users for high-quality delivery services, it is a high-value market characterized by both "high consumption power + strong demand scenarios." Keeta officially entered Saudi Arabia in September 2024, completing its first year of operations. By continuously providing local users with convenient and reliable delivery services, a diverse range of product choices, and affordable prices, while supporting the long-term development of partners such as merchants and riders, Keeta has gradually become one of the most popular delivery platforms in the region. After nearly a year of patient expansion and localization experience in the Saudi market, Meituan's international business in the Middle Eastern delivery market has entered an accelerated implementation phase. On August 19 of this year, Keeta launched in Qatar; on September 15, Keeta launched in Kuwait; and now it has entered the UAE. Additionally, Dubai is also the first overseas site for Meituan's drone delivery service, Keeta Drone. Since the end of 2024, after obtaining the BVLOS drone delivery commercial operation qualification certificate issued by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Keeta Drone has launched regular operations on multiple routes in Dubai, providing users with flying delivery services for various products, including food, beverages, desserts, and medicines. After Keeta's launch in the UAE, it will work with Keeta Drone to build a "ground + low-altitude" dual fulfillment network, achieving collaborative development across multiple scenarios and business formats.
