Appointment of a new Chief Risk Officer, CITIC BANK changes key personnel

On September 28, CITIC Bank announced that the board of directors recently received the resignation of Chief Risk Officer Hu Gang. Hu Gang resigned from his position as Chief Risk Officer of the bank due to work arrangement needs. After resigning from the position of Chief Risk Officer, Hu Gang will continue to serve as a member of the Party Committee of CITIC Bank, Executive Director, member of the Board Risk Management Committee, Vice President, and Director of CITIC Bank (International) Limited, a holding subsidiary of the bank. On the same day, CITIC Bank held a board meeting, which was supposed to have 9 directors present, and all 9 directors actually attended. Among them, Director Hu Gang was represented by Chairman Fang Heying due to official duties, and 6 directors including Wang Yankang, Fu Yamin, Liao Zibin, Zhou Bowen, Wang Huacheng, and Song Fangxiu participated in the meeting via video. During this meeting, the proposal to appoint Mr. Jin Xinian as the Chief Risk Officer of CITIC Bank Co., Ltd. was reviewed and approved. The board agreed to appoint Jin Xinian as the Chief Risk Officer of CITIC Bank, officially taking office from the date when the regulatory authority approves his qualifications for the position, with the term and compensation executed according to the bank's relevant regulations. Public information shows that Jin Xinian, male, born in March 1971, has 32 years of experience in the Chinese banking industry. He graduated from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics with a Master's degree in Business Administration for Senior Managers and is a Senior Economist. From March 2017 to November 2024, Jin Xinian served successively as General Manager of the Investment Banking Department and General Manager of the Corporate Banking Department of CITIC Bank, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangzhou Branch, Acting President, and President. From July 1993 to March 2017, he worked at Agricultural Bank of China, holding positions such as member of the Party Committee and Assistant President of the Shanxi Province Branch, Vice President, Deputy General Manager of the Head Office's Major Client Department (Vice Provincial Level), and Deputy General Manager of the Major Client Department and Business Department (Vice Provincial Level). Starting from August 2025, Jin Xinian will serve as Vice President of CITIC Bank, and from April 2025, he will be a member of the Party Committee of CITIC Bank.
