Economic Daily: Practical safety of car door handles is more important than novelty and uniqueness

The Economic Daily published an article stating that in recent years, hidden door handles have been widely used due to their aesthetic appeal and strong technological feel. The operation methods and structural types of door handle products in the market are becoming increasingly diverse. However, these novel and unique hidden door handle designs also pose problems for passengers, such as difficulty in identification, inconvenience in operation, failure during power outages, and risk of pinching fingers, as well as potential risks for escape and rescue. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly solicited opinions on the mandatory national standard "Safety Technical Requirements for Automobile Door Handles." This standard is expected to comprehensively regulate the performance of door handle products and enhance their safety levels. The standard for automobile door handles is not only a technical issue or a design issue but also a safety issue. The design of door handles should not only be novel and unique but also practical and useful, "allowing users to open them accurately and quickly when necessary," and the intention of being "invisible" should not contradict safety
