Michael Douse, the publishing director of Larian Studios, the studio behind Baldur's Gate 3, publicly stated that the AI-generated video games promised by Musk are unreliable. Musk recently established the XAI artificial intelligence game studio and claimed that a team powered by his AI assistant Grok would release an "outstanding" AI-generated game by the end of 2026. After seeing Musk's plans, Douse responded on Twitter, pointing out that while artificial intelligence can serve as a tool in game development, it cannot replace the creativity and vision necessary to create excellent games
