Firefly Aerospace Scores Steal of a Deal on a Golden Dome Defense Contractor

Firefly Aerospace has announced its acquisition of defense contractor SciTec for $855 million, paying $300 million in cash and the rest in Firefly shares valued at $50 each, nearly double the current market price. This deal will diversify Firefly's revenue, transforming it into a 60/40 defense/space business and increasing its annual revenue to over $260 million. Analysts have varying price targets for Firefly stock, with Deutsche Bank estimating $40 and Cantor Fitzgerald predicting $65 within a year. The acquisition is seen as a strategic move to enhance Firefly's capabilities in defense contracts, particularly for the Golden Dome missile defense system.
