
The Minister of Industry and Information Technology met with Cook in Beijing, and Apple will continue to increase its investment in China
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China announced that Minister Li Lecheng met with Apple Inc. (AAPL.US) CEO Tim Cook in Beijing today. The two sides exchanged views on Apple's business development in China and strengthening cooperation in the electronic information field.
Li Lecheng stated that China's super-large-scale market and complete industrial system contain enormous investment and consumption potential. China will unswervingly promote high-level opening up, vigorously advance "intelligent industrialization" and "industrial intelligence," and create a better business environment for foreign-funded enterprises, including Apple. He hopes that Apple will continue to deepen its presence in the Chinese market, actively participate in China's new industrialization process, and collaborate with upstream and downstream enterprises in China's industrial chain for innovative development.
Cook expressed gratitude for the support from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for Apple's development in China. He stated that Apple will continue to increase its investment in China, further enhance the level and depth of cooperation with China, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development.
