According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on October 15th, Huazhong In-V Holdings (06830) held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony with Moli Technology in Xiangshan, Ningbo. Both parties announced that they will focus on four major areas for deep cooperation: AI empowerment, embodied robot applications, dexterous hand development applications, and lightweight material innovation, driving industrial upgrades through technological innovation.
At the signing ceremony, Zhou Yue, investment manager of Huazhong In-V Holdings, stated that both parties will focus on these four major areas for deep cooperation. In terms of AI empowerment, they will jointly develop AI solutions applicable to the entire process of auto parts production, achieving intelligent quality monitoring, predictive maintenance of equipment, and autonomous optimization of production processes, thereby comprehensively improving production efficiency and product quality.
In the area of embodied robot applications, Moli Technology plans to deeply integrate its advanced robotic technology into Huazhong's core production lines for coating, spraying, and gluing, breaking through the limitations of traditional automation to achieve flexible production and enhance the flexibility and adaptability of the production line.
In the field of dexterous hand development applications, both parties will jointly develop and launch a dexterous hand brand based on Huazhong's application scenarios and high-end manufacturing capabilities, combined with Moli Technology's full-stack algorithms, to improve the operational precision and intelligence level of robots in complex environments.
In terms of lightweight material innovation, Huazhong In-V Holdings will leverage its expertise in the lightweight new materials field to empower the development of the next generation of robots, enhancing their agility, endurance, and safety in human-robot collaboration, and pushing robotic technology to new heights.
From the background of the cooperating parties, Huazhong In-V Holdings is an automotive parts manufacturer deeply engaged in the fields of automotive interior and exterior trim and body structural components. It is a Hong Kong-listed company under the Ningbo Huaxiang Group, with main products including automotive interior and exterior trim, automotive engine components, automotive air conditioning housings, automotive decorative fabrics, and yacht engine hood components. Currently, Huazhong In-V Holdings is a first-tier supplier to domestic and foreign automotive manufacturers such as FAW-Volkswagen, SAIC-Volkswagen, SAIC-GM, Beijing Benz, Volvo, Changan Ford, and Chery Jaguar Land Rover.
Due to the technological commonality between automotive parts manufacturing and robot manufacturing, the automotive parts industry has been increasingly investing in the robotics sector this year to create a second growth curve, particularly evident in Zhejiang, where the automotive parts industry is well-developed. According to statistics from Zheshang Securities, Zhejiang currently has over 100 humanoid robot-related companies, with more than 40 listed on the A-share market.
Moli Technology, established in 2021, is an AI technology innovation enterprise focusing on algorithm research and application in robotic vision, position control, force control, and intelligent end effectors. It has developed flying inspection robots, ironing robots, polishing robots, assembly robots, and more.
Moli Technology CEO Yu Qiong stated at the signing ceremony that this cooperation aims to introduce AI technology into the manufacturing site to address industry pain points such as the complexity of manual operations and low yield rates in automotive interior covering processes. By introducing technologies such as AI vision, embodied intelligence, and dexterous hands, it can stabilize quality, improve efficiency, and reduce costs, reconstructing the manufacturing logic driven by data, machine understanding of processes, and innovative feedback to the real economy.
Zhou Yue emphasized that this cooperation will serve as an opportunity to continue collaborating with technology enterprises, universities, and industry chain partners to explore intelligent manufacturing, new energy, and lightweight fields, and in the future, jointly promote intelligent manufacturing to move out of the laboratory and become a real driving force for high-quality economic development in China
