
Regional bank ETFs plummeted 6.2%, leading the decline among bank industry ETFs, with the S&P financial sector also closing down over 2.7%
On Thursday (October 16), regional bank ETFs fell by 6.20%, bank ETFs dropped by 5.42%, financial sector ETFs decreased by 2.78%, global airline ETFs declined by 2.31%, while biotechnology ETFs, technology sector ETFs, global technology stock index ETFs, and semiconductor ETFs rose by 0.02% to 0.44%.
All 11 sectors of the S&P 500 Index almost completely collapsed, with the financial sector falling by 2.75—no constituent stocks recorded gains (MMC fell by 8.52%, BRO dropped by 6.97%, CFG decreased by 6.40%, FITB fell by 5.96%, the fourth largest decline, Charles Schwab and JKHY fell by 0.98%, the smallest decline), the energy sector dropped by 1.12%, and the information technology/technology sector slightly increased by 0.13%
