
Meituan adds 2 billion yuan to support merchants, upgrading "Kaidianbao" to "Meituan Jingyingbao"
Meituan-W (03690.HK) Core Local Business CEO Wang Puzhong stated yesterday (16th) at the 8th Restaurant Industry Conference that, as a long-term operational base for the catering industry, Meituan does not merely act as a traffic platform. Instead, it provides three core solutions: "Attracting Customers - bringing people in, Delivering Meals - delivering food out, and Improving Efficiency - enhancing operational efficiency," to support both dine-in and takeout businesses, helping merchants achieve sustained and stable growth.
To achieve this goal, Meituan announced four major supportive measures, investing more cash and resources to provide comprehensive support for both dine-in and takeout businesses. This includes an additional RMB 2 billion support fund, which both takeout and dine-in merchants can access for cash support; RMB 300 million to support innovation in store models; RMB 500 million to promote the new infrastructure of "Bright Kitchen and Clear Stove"; launching the "Street Food Ranking List," upgrading the public review star rating system and the takeout evaluation system; and releasing the AI decision-making tool for catering merchants, "Kangaroo Advisor," which opens full-scenario AI operational tools to merchants, equipped with Meituan's self-developed large model "Longcat," covering the entire process of daily operations including market analysis, store location selection, menu development, and financial analysis.
In addition, Meituan's "Store Opening Treasure" has been fully upgraded to "Meituan Business Treasure," transitioning from helping merchants "open their stores" to helping merchants "manage their stores well."
