STRONG PETRO announced that on October 15, 2025, STRONG PETRO Hong Kong submitted a summons to the High Court of Hong Kong, accusing former directors Yao Guoliang and Tan Xiao of breaching fiduciary duties in crude oil transactions with external contractors in 2024, seeking compensation of approximately 37 million yuan, and requesting the court to declare the relevant meetings and resolutions invalid. The company will continue to seek legal advice and will issue further announcements at the appropriate time
According to the announcement from STRONG PETRO (00852), on October 15, 2025, the company's indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, STRONG PETRO (Hong Kong) Limited (as the plaintiff), submitted a summons to the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region against former directors of STRONG PETRO (Hong Kong), Yao Guoliang and Tan Xiao (collectively referred to as the defendants). The plaintiff alleges that the defendants violated their fiduciary, common law, and/or statutory duties to STRONG PETRO (Hong Kong) in relation to crude oil trading transactions (the alleged transactions) conducted with external parties at the end of 2024, and seeks compensation from the defendants for losses and damages incurred in the alleged transactions, amounting to approximately RMB 37 million. STRONG PETRO (Hong Kong) also requests the court to declare the meetings and resolutions related to the alleged transactions invalid (further or alternatively, to issue an order to revoke the relevant resolutions), and further or alternatively, to claim for assessed damages, equitable compensation and/or restitution, interest, costs, and any further and/or other relief deemed appropriate by the court.
