European stock markets showed mixed developments on Tuesday, with the pan-European STOXX 600 index falling by 0.1%. The UK FTSE 100 index rose by 26 points or 0.3%, closing at 9,430 points. The German DAX index increased by 13 points or 0.1%, ending at 24,272 points. The French CAC 40 index gained 38 points or 0.5%, finishing at 8,244 points.
Defense stocks continued their upward trend from Monday, with Swiss Montana Aerospace leading the way, rising by 13%. German Renk and Italian defense contractor Leonardo remained stable.
Danish pharmaceutical giant Novo Nordisk saw its stock price drop by 1%. A dispute among board members has led to the announcement of a special shareholders' meeting on November 14 to elect new board members
