For four consecutive years, the Outer Harbor Haitong Terminal's exports reached a record high in the first three quarters
Located at the Yangtze River estuary, the Haitong International Automobile Terminal in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port area has become an important gateway for Chinese automobiles to go abroad. The latest data shows that in the first three quarters of this year, the terminal's automobile export volume reached 1.109 million units, a year-on-year increase of 14.2%, setting a new historical record. It is worth mentioning that this is the fourth consecutive year that the terminal's automobile exports have exceeded one million units. The Haitong Terminal at Waigaoqiao Port, situated at the Yangtze River estuary, has become one of the preferred ports for domestic car manufacturers to export, thanks to its geographical advantage of connecting rivers to the sea and its dense shipping routes connecting to the world. With the continuous development of the automobile export roll-on/roll-off business, the current export routes from the Haitong Terminal cover 289 ports in 131 countries and regions worldwide, with an average of 2 to 3 roll-on/roll-off ships setting sail daily, fully loaded with domestically produced cars
