On October 27th, according to news from Rio Tinto Group, Rio Tinto Group officially launched a pilot project for the application of pure electric battery-swapping mining truck technology in collaboration with State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC) at the Oyu Tolgoi copper mine in Mongolia. This pilot project is the first time Rio Tinto has tested battery-swapping mining truck technology equipment in an open-pit mine, and the testing will continue until the end of 2026
