Trip.com’s high-end luxury travel brand “Honghu Yiyou” has released a trend observation, highlighting that extreme travel characterized by “the farthest, the most expensive, the most extreme, and the longest reservation time” has become a new consumption direction for China’s high-net-worth individuals. Among these, space travel, which encompasses multiple extreme attributes, has seen a consulting volume growth rate exceeding 350% annually, making it a phenomenon in the travel category. In addition to space travel, trips to the most extreme places on Earth are also gaining popularity. Antarctica, as the ultimate frontier of the Earth, has become a popular destination for high-end travelers seeking to challenge themselves and pursue spiritual resonance. Data shows that over the past three years, the annual compound growth rate of Antarctic tourism products has exceeded 80%. Among them, the “Antarctic White Sand Camp” project is particularly favored, with an 8-day, 7-night itinerary priced from 808,800 yuan, including a charter flight from South Africa directly to the Antarctic interior, camping at 83°S latitude, and reaching the geographic South Pole at 90°. This project is only open for less than two months each year and can accommodate a maximum of 12 people per batch, with the first order sold by Honghu Yiyou, and several new orders have recently been confirmed
